This is Day 2 of our trip - visit to Knotts Berry Farm theme park.
Gavin was pulled on stage to participate in the Charlie Brown stage show:

This was within 7 minutes of getting in the car after the day at the amusement park:
Day 3 spent at the beach:
Day 4: Grandpa Rui had to work, so we went to the Discovery Science Museum - bonus - it was FREE since we are members at the science center here in DM.
This was so neat - Gavin sat in this seat and pulled himself up on the pulley system - even on the hardest one, he made it all the way to the top!
Day 5 - we spent at the Santa Monica Pier. This is by far the best deal in LA. For $11 you can buy a kids wrist band to ride all the kiddie rides on the boardwalk, and there were no lines! For the money, this was way better than an amusement park any day. Afterwards we picked up my cousin Heston and brought him back to Grandpa Rui's for dinner.
By far the best thing about Santa Monica Pier was that they had a special toddler bumper cars section, so Gav could ride (and drive!) the bumper cars all by himself. This may have been the highlight of the whole trip.
Day 6 we spent at the LA Zoo, but unfortunately my camera decided to take a vacation for the day so we didn't get any pics. Day 7 was spent at a water park, and this is the only picture we took there. Waiting for the shuttle from the parking lot to pick us up.
