Sweet Gavin

Gavin has been really sweet lately. But first, here's the news to catch up on. Gavin is growing like a weed! He's up to over 40 pounds and tall. He loves the Wii we got for Christmas and is getting really good at it. He continuously beats us at boxing and loves every second of it. While the evening activity does nothing to help him settle down for bed, I love that we are all getting more activity and less sitting in front of the TV time.

Next, we are switching day care centers. We found one down the street from our house that Gavin fell in love with. They are a small center, but the owner is very invested in getting the kids ready for Kindergarten, and they have a preschool curriculum for 2 hours every morning. We start there Jan 26th.

So the other day we were talking about it, and I told him his baby brother would go there too after he was born, and that Gavin could help keep an eye on him. Gavin said "Yeah! And maybe if he's crying I can give him a kiss." Is that not the sweetest thing EVER?

In following in his uncle's footsteps news, his tooth is chipped again. I called the dentist and we give up on trying to keep it filled (such an awkward spot for a filling, and not much there to "grip"). Since it's just cosmetic, and not too noticeable, we are just going to seal it and be done with it.

And last but not least, we are traveling to MN for Monster Jam this week, since someone's pregnant brain completely spaced off the tickets we had for the DM show. I am very excited because I found pit passes on E-Bay and we will be able to meet the drivers and see the trucks up close before the show. We HAVE NOT told Gavin yet in case the tix don't arrive, or we run into delays traveling up there and don't make it, but I think that will be a total highlight for him. Plus it is going to be the last trip where it is just the three of us!

Ok, I guess one last piece of news, we have the stitch removel scheduled for Fri, Feb 20th, so potentially only 5 1/2 weeks until "Noodle" arrives!
